Children's Theatre: The Story of Karl Bertil Jonsson's Christmas Eve

Teater Patrasket's first Christmas production is based on Tage Danielsson's classic 'The Story of Karl Bertil Jonsson's Christmas Eve' - a Swedish tradition that has been broadcast on television since 1975.

The story takes place in a Christmas long ago, when the poor still wandered the streets. Karl Bertil Jonsson works at the town's post office in the days before Christmas and dreams of his idol Robin Hood - and the day before Christmas Eve, he makes his decision: to take from the rich and give to the poor.

The performance is a visual story told with puppets, masks and objects, aimed at children aged 7 to 11 and their adults. The age recommendation is important to follow. For many children it is their first time in the theatre, so feel free to sit together with your child - and if you need a break, it is perfectly fine to slip out of the hall and come back.

The performance takes place in the Hall at Roskilde Library. There are chairs without armrests and cushions available.
