Juuls celebrates 100 years with a special evening featuring rare Nikka whiskies held at Det Ny Teater on 19 November 2026. The tasting showcases 8 exceptional bottlings - single cask releases, single malts, pure malts aged 17-25 years, and limited releases no longer available in stores.

Raphael Cristini, European Brand Ambassador for Nikka, hosts the evening. With a background as a bartender and former Brand Ambassador for Bruichladdich, Cristini represents Nikka across Europe and globally. He will share the stories behind Nikka and Japanese whisky. The tasting is conducted in English.

Some bottles are available only in quantities matching the number of participants. Others are in surplus and can be purchased at the same price as they cost 10+ years ago - exclusively this evening. Doors open at 18:10.

About Nikka: Founded by Masataka Taketsuru in 1934, Nikka was established by Japan's first whisky-trained distiller, who studied at the University of Glasgow and worked at Scottish distilleries including Longmorn, Bo'ness, and Hazelburn before opening Japan's first whisky distillery in 1923. Nikka's first distillery, Yoichi, sits on the northern island of Hokkaido and produces a robust, maritime single malt in Campbeltown style. The second distillery, Miyagikyo, opened in 1969 near Sendai and produces elegant, fruity Speyside-style whisky and grain whisky. Nikka is today Japan's second-largest whisky producer.
