"Some places exist only within us. A hand that held ours. A place where we lost someone, learned to forgive, or quietly found hope again." - Frederik Smal

Common Silent Places is a solo exhibition by Frederik Smal featuring minimalist line drawings placed between the concrete pillars of Brønshøj Water Tower. The drawings give emotional places a physical form - there is no fixed route and almost no text. You move through the circular space and encounter the works one by one.

Raw concrete, natural light, the distances between the drawings, and the sound moving through the tower are all part of the exhibition. The drawings' small scale and simple expression meet the water tower's monumental architecture.

Fredrik Smal on the works: "They spring from my own memories, but are not only about me. They stand open, so you can bring your own with you: a person, a touch, a loss, or something small that quietly brought hope back."

The exhibition is free and non-commercial. There is no traditional opening reception and no prescribed way to understand the works. The exhibition can also be experienced alongside other activities in the water tower during the period.
