On August 30, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Copenhagen Street Theatre Festival takes place at Den Gule Plads with free admission for all.

The centrepiece is Fiers à Cheval, created by French company Compagnie des Quidams. The wordless performance features figures in Venetian-futuristic costumes who gradually transform into large inflatable white horses that parade and joust in choreographed formation. It runs 30 minutes and appeals to both children and adults.

The festival runs August 23-30, 2026, and visits Husum, Nørrebro, Sydhavn, Valby, and Ørestad. It is part of DIG - Denmark's International Street Theatre Festivals - and is free.
