Furoshiki Workshop / YUZU Studio - For Children and Adults

Bring an adult and join a Furoshiki workshop at YUZU studio - for children aged 8+ and their parent, grandparent, neighbour, or another adult they care about.

You start with a shared introduction, then children and adults split into separate groups. Children get markers and textiles to let their imagination run wild, while adults learn different Furoshiki techniques and discover what you can do with a single piece of fabric. Once the techniques are mastered, adults also get the chance to decorate their own Furoshiki - perhaps in collaboration with the children. At the end, you see together how the textile drawings change when used functionally.

All Furoshiki are made from discarded sheets from hotels and service industries, and you'll learn to wrap in a durable and reusable way. No prior knowledge is needed, all materials are included, and you take your decorated Furoshiki home with you afterwards.
