UnScene Showcase with Benny Emil & JoLee

Benny Emil presents his showcase in two parts. The first is an intimate trio set featuring songs about people in difficult situations, the mind's possibilities, and the nature of love. The second part offers a glimpse into unreleased material, where his singer-songwriter songs are wrapped in Latin, dance, and afrobeat - lifted by dancers and backing tracks, bringing music and movement together on stage.

JoLee consists of Under Lee (vocals, Spanish guitar), Jon Brændsgaard Toft (vocals, Spanish guitar, percussion), and Günther Paulsen (vocals, electric guitar). The trio arranges and performs each other's original songs in a predominantly acoustic expression with light percussion and multi-part vocals - the lyrics range from friendly stories and quirky gull observations to life's bigger questions.

The event is organized by the UnScene Artist Association, which works to strengthen the emerging layer of Danish music by giving upcoming artists a professional stage at Scene 7 in Herning.
