MC Einar // J-dag Special!

MC Einar returns to Spillestedet Stengade with a Christmas special on November 6, 2026 - following three sold-out concerts at the same venue in 2023.

MC Einar broke through as the frontman of the band of the same name in 1988 with the debut album "Den Nye Stil" - Denmark's first rap album, featuring hits like "En af den slags dage" and "Provokerer, onanerer". That same Christmas, "Jul, det' cool" was released, which has since become a classic. Already in 1989 came "Ahr Der!", whose title track is one of the band's most well-known songs and has been recorded in several versions, including a 12" edition with Jens Haack on saxophone. In 1994 the compilation album "Og Sådan Noget" was released, and the band also recorded the children's song "Oles Nye Autobil" for the album "Pa-Papegøje", which won album of the year in the children's category.

Today MC Einar consists of the original lineup - Einar Enemark, DJ Jan and Jesper Vildmand, occasionally joined by Jens Haack on saxophone and Ole Jensen on guitar. The band has new songs in the works, with an expected release in early 2026.
