When Rick Hauchman moved from North Carolina to Copenhagen, he quickly found local musicians to play with - and the core of Lowlife Brotherhood was born. The band members bring backgrounds in classical, jazz, folk and country, but it is their shared love of both traditional and modern bluegrass that binds them together.

Today they play primarily original material. Their first EP was released on streaming in 2025, and a new release is planned for 2026. In their daily life, Lowlife Brotherhood is a live band that performs at bars, cafés, venues and festivals throughout Scandinavia.

The band consists of: Rick Hauchman (guitar), Daniel Olsson (dobro), Anton Lindström (mandolin), Johan Malmberg (banjo) and Lars Hansen (upright bass).
