ILK x KU.BE no. 9: Solborg/Banke/Heebøll + Søndergaard

Solborg/Banke/Heebøll is a trio whose foundation is to release music through present, synergistic interplay. Over time they have developed a mutual understanding that some listeners describe as telepathic - as if everyone in the group breathes through the same lungs and creates transparent, elastic music. The trio has performed and recorded with names such as Pierre Dørge, Evan Parker, Egberto Gismonti, Django Bates, Herb Robertson, Josefine Cronholm, Susana Santos Silva, Peter Sommer and Niels Skousen.

For this concert, vibraphonist Viktoria Søndergaard joins as a guest. She recently toured the country with the band BARYL and collaborated with Marilyn Mazur, and is currently releasing her debut album "Music of Secrets". The trio describes her as having a clear, intuitive understanding of their musical approach - "there is room for both stiff gales and more poetic breezes."
