In EMBRACING THE ROOT, the audience is invited into a music-dramatic fantasy about connection and community, where trees, roots, and puppets are the main characters. The production's central figure is a success-driven brain researcher who collapses in the middle of an ambitious project on climate change and human stress and is admitted to a psychiatric hospital. In facing her breakdown, she reaches new insights that dissolve the numbness that has set in and send her on a journey that dissolves time and place - leading us into a primeval forest.
