SUMMONED: HANS CHRISTIAN — Teater Momentum, Odense

FREMKALDT: HANS CHRISTIAN is a staged interview format positioned at the intersection of conversation, installation, and performance. The starting point is an experiment: what happens when AI summons H.C. Andersen through his literary footprint? The result is a figure between presence and absence - an abstraction that responds like an echo of a presence that once was.

The performance is developed in collaboration with Vertigo, a Copenhagen-based audiovisual artist collective working with light installations, scenography, and immersive formats. Vertigo received a Reumert Award in 2023 for the performance "Sky66en" at Aveny-T, which similarly explored the encounter between human and artificial intelligence. H.C. Andersen's House contributed expert knowledge and participated in selecting the texts that form the basis for the AI language model.

Idea and concept: Jeppe Sand and Katrine Flarup Staunstrup. The project is supported by the H.C. Andersen Foundation. Duration: 30 minutes.
