Twilight Hour: Reading and Nordic Singing

Twilight Hour is a Nordic event where people across the Nordic region read aloud from the same book at the same time. This year it is Johannes Anyurus' Swedish novel "De kommer att drunkna i sina mödrars tårar" (2017) - published in Danish as "De vil drukne i deres mødres tårer" - a speculative novel about what could happen to a democratic society like Sweden when democratic values are not defended.

After the reading, Mette Sanggaard takes the floor. She was part of the editorial team behind the latest edition of Højskolesangbogen and talks about the Nordic songs that made their way into the publication. A couple of them are sung together.

The event takes place in collaboration with Foreningen Norden as part of Nordic Literature Week.
