Sydfyns Kulturforening Invites You to a Lantern Workshop

Marie Hauberg and Marie Snede guide participants through creating lanterns from willow and paper, so you can take home a finished lantern for the Parade of the Living and the Dead on October 23, 2026. Materials, templates, and instruction are included - and participation is free.

The workshop takes place in the large meeting room at Svendborg Library, Svinget 1, at the following times:
Wednesday, October 14 - Friday, October 16, 2026, 10:00-16:00
Saturday, October 17, 2026, 10:30-13:30

A lantern takes a minimum of 4 hours to make, so allow plenty of time - it is possible to spread the work over several days. Places are limited, and waiting times may occur.

Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. The workshop assumes you intend to participate in the Parade of the Living and the Dead on October 23, 2026, and is not aimed at institutions.
