Description was written before the event

Journalist Deniz B. Serinci traces Turkey's modern history from the founding of the republic in 1923 under General Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to the present day - a comprehensive and nuanced examination.

About the venue: Kino Kultur

KINO Kultur is Ringsted's volunteer-run art-house cinema at Tinggade 9, a venue with an unbroken cinema history stretching back to 1936. When the commercial operator closed in autumn 2019, a group of volunteers founded the association Kino Kultur in January 2020 and reopened after renovation in January 2023. The programme covers art-house and children's films, opera screenings, lectures and concerts.
