Living Memory Sites - Oak Trees: Wednesday 11 November 2026, 19:30, Kulturhuset Elværket, Frederikssund. Tickets cost 100 kr.

In this lecture, Helle Seerup draws on her long-standing interest in old and remarkable trees, as well as a recent research project on oak trees as sites of memory.

About the venue: Kulturhuset Elværket

Kulturhuset Elværket occupies Frederikssund's former municipal power station, built in 1914 and converted into a cultural centre in 1994 by the architectural firm Mangor & Nagel. It is run by Elværksforeningen, a private user association of around 130 member groups. The building holds a main hall for up to 250 people, a café with rotating art exhibitions, and two smaller meeting rooms. Music, theatre, lectures and courses fill the programme - typically more than 1,000 events a year.
