Melby Overdrev - Help Nature - Plant Trees to Preserve the Heathland

Melby Overdrev is designated as one of Denmark's 15 best nature areas - thanks in part to decades of voluntary heathland management. Without ongoing effort, the area will become overgrown with forest, and that is exactly what we want to prevent.

Bring your family and help remove pine and birch trees so the heather and open heath remain alive. The forest ranger will explain which trees need to be removed and which areas the work will take place in. No registration is necessary, and tools are provided - but REMEMBER your work gloves!

Today's work concludes with free lunch around 1 p.m. The event is a collaboration between the Nature Agency North Zealand and us.
