Discover Life Below the Surface in Havelse Å

This event features electric fishing for trout fry and fauna sampling to collect small aquatic animals. The creatures are placed in small aquariums so both children and adults can study them up close. There will also be an opportunity to learn about the EU's requirements for the stream's ecological status.

The event is led by Kaj Larsen, who since 2005 has worked on watercourse restoration projects in the area - including trout spawning surveys, fry fishing, fauna sampling, and releasing trout fry into watercourses that flow into Roskilde Fjord. The work has been carried out in collaboration with DTU Aqua, municipalities, and landowners.

Parking is limited at the HOFORS site - follow the flags. Maximum 25 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration with Michael Liesk by email or SMS.
