DN Gentofte Annual Meeting and Green Debate

Danmarks Naturfredningsforeningen's Gentofte branch holds its annual meeting on Wednesday, 25 November at 18:00. The meeting covers the board's annual report, election of board members, and member proposals for DN's work on nature, environment and climate.

The agenda follows § 5, section 4 of DN's bylaws:
1. Election of chair.
2. Board's annual report.
3. Election of board members and alternates.
4. Member proposals.
5. Any other business.

Candidates for point 3 can be submitted before the meeting. Proposals for point 4 must be submitted with justification by 18 November 2026.

From 19:30 to 21:30, a debate on nature, environment and climate follows. Suggestions for topics can be submitted in advance - possible themes include:

Green Gentofte - Less than 10% of the municipality's area is protected nature. How do we prevent more green areas from disappearing to construction and development?

Storm surge protection - What needs to happen in the short term to prevent flooding in vulnerable areas and overflow of polluted water into the Øresund? How should Gentofte's coastal and storm surge protection be tackled?

Drinking water - What is needed to make the municipality's drinking water toxin-free, and how can drinking water wells and groundwater be better protected in the future?

Climate - When will all public buildings get solar panels? When will biomass be phased out of the district heating system? What can promote renovation over new construction, and when will takeaway restaurants be offered a reusable packaging system instead of single-use packaging?

Private gardens and housing associations' green areas - How can the municipality limit paved areas on private land, support local rainwater drainage and stop spraying pesticides on public and private areas?
