Crawling Creatures and Wildlife at Holms Biotop, Monstrup — Hobro

Join us for a delightful day exploring nature at Holms Biotop, Monstrup, a small farm converted into a nature reserve.

We'll search together for insects, spiders, and other small creatures. Starting at the small lake created after drain removal, we'll discover what lies beneath the water's surface. We'll also explore Stubberup Stream to see what life thrives in the flowing water. Along the way, we'll look for ants, spiders, galls, and all the fascinating insects and crawling creatures that live right before our eyes. We take our time on this day, moving at a leisurely pace so we can discover as much as possible. And of course, we'll greet the donkeys that care for the area.

We'll have magnifying glasses and other equipment available to borrow, so both children and adults can get a close look at nature's small details.

The tour is particularly suited for families, but everyone is very welcome. The route is approximately 1.5 km with uneven terrain not suitable for prams. It can be wet and muddy, so we recommend bringing rubber boots.

We look forward to a day filled with curiosity, discoveries, and wonderful nature experiences! Coffee, juice, and cake will be available for purchase.
