Join a Bioblitz at Naturens Pusterum

When Naturens Pusterum was established in 2020, wild flower seeds were scattered and native shrubs were planted in the area, hoping to attract more wildlife.

With the help of the bioblitz, we will search the area for insects, birds, plants and frogs. The findings will then be registered in the app Arter, which is used by researchers.

The results will show whether the number of beetles, butterflies and other species has increased. Or whether rare species may have moved in.

Naturens Pusterum was created by volunteers from Livsgnisten-Odsherred and today functions as a peaceful and beautiful place for people with dementia, their relatives and other nature lovers.

From the refuge you can enjoy the fantastic view over the dammed part of Sidinge Fjord.

Unfortunately, Odsherred Municipality has plans to build housing, which would destroy the view, peace and biodiversity. That is why Livsgnisten is fighting to get more nature in the area instead.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Wear appropriate clothing and bring refreshments if needed. We provide catching equipment, but feel free to bring tools such as magnifying glasses, binoculars and butterfly nets.
