Film Reading Club: Sense and Sensibility

In the Film Reading Club, participants read a film adaptation of a novel and meet to discuss it before watching the film together at Nicolai Biograf.

This time the book is Jane Austen's classic "Sense and Sensibility" - the novel about two sisters with vastly different love stories, one passionate and romantic, the other calm and measured, and the question of what matters most when finding the right person: sense or sensibility? The story is set in the English upper class at the beginning of the 1800s.

The film is from 2026 and directed by Georgia Oakley. Daisy Edgar-Jones, known from "Where the Crawdads Sing", plays the lead role of Elinor - a role most often associated with Emma Thompson's 1995 version. The film runs approximately 131 minutes.

The event takes place in meeting room Nexø at Kolding Library. Food can be purchased when buying tickets.
