Melodi Grand Prix - 1956 to Millennium
Bos Trafikskole, Frederikssund · 150 kr. · ≈ 20 €
Melodi Grand Prix has since its start in 1956 brought together both enthusiastic fans and skeptics - and earned the nickname "Melodunte" in the 1970s. Denmark first participated in 1957 with "Skibet Skal Sejle i Nat", and since then the competition has given us songs like Angelique, To Lys På Et Bord, Dansevisen, Boom Boom, Kloden Drejer, Vi Maler Byen Rød, Under Stjerner på Himlen and Smukt Som Et Stjerneskud - up to Søren Lund's Før Vi Går Hjem in 2026.
Per Rock guides the audience through the history in his engaging and charming way with anecdotes to a number of the songs. The earliest songs are played on authentic equipment from 1956, while the newer numbers come from an ordinary speaker. Some clips are also shown on a large screen, and the audience is very welcome to sing along.
Per Rock's motto: You come smiling, you leave smiling.
