Walk the Full Loop Around Lynetteholm 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

The ring is complete - and for the first time you can walk all the way around Lynetteholm and experience the scale of Copenhagen's new peninsula and storm surge barrier.

The event features guided walks with views over Copenhagen and the Øresund strait, including a route for people with mobility challenges. Along the way you'll hear about the marine archaeological finds discovered in the area, and at 1:30 PM there are live podcast recordings about the Battle of Reden with the hosts behind Kongerækken and By & Havn's podcast series 'The Story of the Harbour'. Children and the young at heart can try out the large construction machines used to build the stone dam, and at information booths you can meet project staff. Video and photos of H.M. King Frederik X closing the ring around Lynetteholm on June 17, 2026 will be shown. Free coffee, water, fruit and snacks are included.

The walk crosses gravel and uneven terrain in places - wear hiking boots. There are toilets along the route and at the event site, and on the day a folder with information about the three walking routes will be distributed. Further information about parking (car and bicycle) and public transport by city bus and harbour bus will be sent before the event.

A photographer will be present at the event. Photos will be used by By & Havn on their website, in newsletters and for PR purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, contact the photographer on the day. If a photo of you as the main subject is taken and you later do not wish it to be used, you can write to info@byoghavn.dk. For safety reasons, cancellation is reserved in case of unsuitable weather.
