DR Romanklub // The Friday Group

Vejle Libraries is launching four DR Romanklub reading groups for the 2026/2027 season, starting in November. Each club accommodates 10 participants who meet six times to read and discuss six new Danish novels. A librarian facilitates the first meeting; thereafter the group runs independently without a moderator.

The library provides books and meeting space, and participants have 3-4 weeks to read each novel. After all six books have been read and discussed in May, each club votes on the three best. DR collects votes from all reading clubs across the country and awards the DR Romanprisen (DR Novel Prize).

The Friday group meets on Thursdays (note: despite the name) on 27 November, 18 December, 29 January, 26 February, 19 March, and 16 April, all sessions 10:00-11:30.

Participation is free. When you book a ticket, you register for the entire series. Registration opens Monday 3 September at 10:00.
