Teddy Bear Hospital

Is your teddy bear injured or sick? Bring it to Teddy Bear Hospital, where the library welcomes volunteer nurses and doctors who care for sick teddy bears.

The teddy bear doctors and nurses examine the bears, take medical notes, take X-rays, and figure out what's wrong - whether it needs medicine or just a hug. All bears of all ages and with all kinds of illnesses can be examined.

Teddy Bear Hospital is a volunteer project designed to let children meet the healthcare system in a safe setting while they are healthy. Through play, they gain experience with what it's like to be admitted to hospital, so meeting the hospital feels less unfamiliar if it becomes necessary one day.
