When Barbed Wire Came to Herlev - Herlev Popklub 1964-1967

On 20 October 1966, The Who played at Herlev Hallen - a concert many consider the greatest single cultural event in Herlev's recent history.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the concert, this themed event focuses on the town's youth and music scene in the 1960s. Author Claus Hagen Petersen has just published a new book about Herlev Popklub and tells the story of the club and the local music scene, including the connections to The Who concert and other pop clubs in the Copenhagen area as a cultural phenomenon of the decade.
