Classical Listening Club - Mahler's Symphony No. 4

Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 4 in G major from 1901 is considered one of his brightest and clearest works, with distinct references to childhood and folk tradition. The music is calm and poetic - bearing the mark of the happy years that preceded his daughter's death and the darker periods that later found expression in his subsequent symphonies.

At this event, we listen to the symphony and discuss it as we go. Everyone is welcome, even without prior knowledge of classical music.
