Fun with Science - Watercolour and Water Resistance

In this experiment, we explore how water behaves differently on various surfaces - why does it stay on some while running off others?

We'll paint with watercolours on surfaces including vaseline, butter, and soap, and along the way discover why the paint reacts as it does. All participants receive a white lab coat so the watercolour doesn't end up in the wrong places.

The event is for children from 4 years old, and you simply drop in on the day - no registration required. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Science Sunday is a recurring activity series at the library where children are invited to explore activities in technology and science.
