AI requires enormous amounts of data - and with it, massive data centres with significant environmental impact. But how large is it really? And can AI conversely help solve the climate crisis?
Raghavendra Selvan, assistant professor at the University of Copenhagen and author of the book "Sustainable AI", presents his research into AI's real environmental costs, the path towards sustainable AI, and what we can do ourselves to minimize our CO₂ footprint in a world where AI plays an ever-growing role.
The talk is held in English, but everyone is welcome. During the event you can enjoy an after-work beer or water - if you receive the library's newsletter, your first drink is free.
