Lecture: Fallen Angels and Bone Men

Historian Dennis Larsen, museum inspector at the National Museum of Denmark, gives a lecture about the unknown Danish SS deserters and their fates during World War II.

The lecture covers men who voluntarily entered German military service but later regretted their decision. Some managed to desert - others did not and were subsequently punished by German military courts. One of the deserters, Hans Otto Hausgaard Andersen, was executed in Ryvangen and found buried at the site after liberation.

The lecture is based on Dennis Larsen's research for the book "Fallen Angels and Bone Men", published in 2024.
