Peter Plys hosts a birthday party for teddy bears at Biblioteket i Herning - and the bears stay overnight to explore the library after closing time.

Bears are dropped off on Friday, September 18 between 3 and 5 p.m. (allow about 15 minutes for registration). On Saturday, September 19 they are picked up between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., when the bears return with adventure stories and buns and juice are served.

On Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:15 there is also a theatre show with Peter Plys. Tickets are sold in two options: sleepover only, or sleepover with theatre included.

About the venue: Biblioteket i Herning

Biblioteket i Herning opened in August 2014 in the city centre on Østergade, designed by Kristian H. Nielsen and GPP Arkitekterne. At nearly 6,000 m², it houses five kilometres of shelving in the book section known as Dybet, two bookable meeting rooms, a MakerSpace and a café. Beyond lending, the library hosts lectures, cultural events and IT guidance, and also serves as the central library for 19 municipalities in the Central Denmark Region.
