Adventure Play at Billund Library

As part of the Play Festival, Billund Library invites children to a day of storytelling, play and creative activities on Friday, 11 September 2026.

The day features the opening of the new play area 'Adventure Grove', where a 6-metre-long river rolls down the green hills, landscapes are built with soft wooden logs, and play takes participants to distant kingdoms, dark troll forests and dragon caves. Children can dress up as a princess, knight or dragon and see themselves in fun carnival mirrors.

In the library's creative workshop, you can draw your own adventure portrait and design an adventure crown of gold and gems to use in play.

Daycare providers, nurseries and kindergartens are invited to adventure play and crafts from 10:00 to 13:00. Storytelling takes place at 10:00, 11:00 and 12:00.
