Story Suitcases for Playgroups
Ringsted Library's children's librarian visits playgroups with a story suitcase filled with tales. Through dialogic reading and engaging activities, play and learning are woven together - perhaps we'll count the peas under the Princess's mattresses, listen to a terrible storm, or sort out the colours of the rainbow.
The session touches on themes from the Strengthened Pedagogical Curriculum and serves as inspiration for adults' ongoing work with children and literature.
The visit is for playgroups with 8-10 children aged 1½ and up. Booking is arranged collectively for the playgroup, after which childminders coordinate among themselves who participates. One week before the visit, the library calls to align expectations and get an overview of the number of children, ages, etc.
Registration via email. Location: Activity Room.
