Nadia Mansour: The Legacy from Palestine
Hovedbiblioteket, Aarhus · 155 kr. · ≈ 21 €
Nadia Mansour reads from her essay "Not a Word About Palestine", part of the collection "The Palestinian - Ten Personal Accounts of the Legacy from Palestine". She opens up about her background as a Danish-Palestinian and shares family stories beyond what appears in the book, discussing her many journeys to Israel/Palestine where her family originates and still lives.
Following the reading, there will be an opportunity for questions and reflections on the unspoken in family histories, and how the past shapes the present.
"The Palestinian" was published in February 2025, and the first print sold out before the book's official market release. Books will be available for purchase with the option of author signing.
Nadia Mansour is a researcher and PhD in multicultural literature, pedagogical leader at Aarhus International School, external lecturer at the Danish School of Education, and founder of CultureWays, a lecture and workshop company. The event is organized by FOF Aarhus in collaboration with Dokk1 and takes place in Lille Sal.
