Saturday Tours: The Sound of
Free guided tour of the exhibition 'The Sound of' led by one of Gasværket's art guides. The tour explores the exhibition's concept in depth and examines the role of sound in contemporary art - with stops at selected immersive and sound-based works, where artists have engaged with sound's material, poetic, sensory, social and political potentials in widely different ways. You are welcome to ask questions and share your thoughts along the way.
The tour takes place at Gasværket. The exhibition's two other locations in Roskilde - Sct. Ibs Kirkeruin and Vaskeriet - can be visited independently or with a special guided tour on selected days (see the calendar).
The exhibition presents works by, among others, Hajra Waheed, Hanne Lippard, Clara Mosconi, Julian Abraham 'Togar', Emeka Ogboh, Cally Spooner, Francesco Fonassis, Arendse Krabbe and Annika Kahrs. It is created in collaboration with Moderna Museet Malmö and supported by the Danish Arts Foundation, Augustinus Foundation, Ny Carlsberg Foundation, Knud Højgaard Foundation, OCA, Italian Council, Det Obelske Family Foundation, Sound Environment Center (Lund University), Art Music Denmark, Danish Composers' Association, Den Hielmstierne-Rosencroneske Foundation and Ernst B Sund Foundation.
