Nature Festival in Giber Skov
Guides from 'Tid til tur' will take you close to the water and show you the plants and animals that have settled in tree stumps and under stones in Giber Skov - a new nature area under development. Former agricultural land has been left to grow wild with ponds and new habitats for many species. Learn more about the project at www.aarhus.dk/nynatur
Bring a picnic basket, drinks and a picnic blanket for you and your family or friends. You can also hear about the municipality's work with the nature area, local volunteer efforts and Moesgård Museum's work with trails in the area.
From 13:30 you can drive or cycle to one of four nature walks (primarily for adults), all starting at 14:00:
- Mariendal - meeting point: Fløjstrup Strand Store car park
- Rødbjerg and Viekjær Mark - meeting point: Moesgaard Museum's southern car park
- Giber Skov - meeting point: Giber Skov new large car park
- Hjortebakkerne - meeting point: Tingstedet at the junction of Hovstien and Langballevej
