SoulFried & Mo Hippa Section

On October 23, SoulFried and Mo Hippa Section join forces for a double concert at Drop Inn in Copenhagen, where jazz-funk meets New Orleans groove.

SoulFried was formed in 2020 and features seven musicians. The band draws inspiration from James Brown, Snarky Puppy, Fearless Flyers, The Meters, and Maceo Parker, playing original material at the crossroads of funk, soul, jazz, Latin, rock, and hip-hop. In 2024, they released their debut album "Chonk Lé Fonk", followed by "Pocket Science" in autumn 2025.

Lineup: Mark Bradley - Guitar (GB), Pete Kenny - Bass (GB), Péter Horváth - Drums (HU), Carl Zinssou - Keys/Organ (DK), Bertram Kvist Lynggaard - Tenor Sax (DK), Abél Nyerges - Trumpet (HU), Johannes Otto Bolding Kruse - Tenor Sax (DK).

Mo Hippa Section is rooted in authentic New Orleans sound with references to Jon Cleary and The Absolute Monster Gentleman, Galactic, D'Angelo, The Meters, and Lettuce. In 2025, the band released their first full-length album, "Love Triangle".
