Brazilian Guitars

Brazilian guitarist Rogerio Souza visits Denmark to perform at KU.BE in Frederiksberg on Sunday, September 20 at 14:00. He performs alongside Danish guitarist Jens Viggo Fjord, and together they present gems from the Brazilian songbook as well as tracks from their joint album Brazilian Guitars.

Souza is among the leading guitarists in his hometown of Rio de Janeiro. He has performed with musicians such as harmonica virtuoso Sivuca and guitarist Baden Powell, and has toured extensively throughout the Americas, Europe, and Japan - both as a performer and as a teacher of Brazilian guitar art and the choro genre.

Alexander Kraglund, a violinist and mouth harp player who is a prominent figure in the genre locally, appears as a special guest.
