Bug Hunt in Sollerup Forest

The forest floor in Sollerup Forest teems with small creatures - you just need to know where to look. Under stones, tree stumps and fallen leaves hides more life than you might expect.

The first part of the tour is about catching bugs: all participants receive a jam jar or bucket, and then it's time to hunt. After that we take a break where you can enjoy a drink and snack you've brought. Finally we examine and discuss together everything we've found.

Practical: we meet at the car park and walk a short distance into the forest together. Come dressed in clothes and shoes that can get dirty - in rainy weather, rain gear and wellington boots are a good idea. Bring something to drink and a small snack if you like. Prams and pushchairs can be brought on the tour.
