Amalie and Thea: Hitchhiking from Denmark to Japan
Brædstrup Bibliotek, Brædstrup · 50 kr. · ≈ 7 €
Thea Tolberg Møller and Amalie Fie Flamming hitchhiked from Denmark to Japan and documented their journey on the Instagram profile zero_plan_to_japan. Without a fixed plan, they made their way through foreign countries and cultures, driven by a desire to meet people exactly where they are.
The lecture explores what it means to travel as young women with trust as your only companion: a more nuanced view of humanity, encounters with people who went far out of their way to help, and plenty of cold hours on motorways. Throughout it all, the big question - whether people are fundamentally more alike than different, and where the line lies between courage and recklessness.
The event is a collaboration between Brædstrup Library and DOF Brædstrup Evening School and takes place in the Hall. Tickets are available on the library's website or from DOF Brædstrup at tel. 40858083.
