Singer, guitarist and storyteller Jan Kjær Andersen performs a winter solstice concert at Metronomen. The programme features his own songs with strong lyrics about community, love, the planet, war and peace, woven together with anecdotes from his many years as a journalist covering poor countries and global hotspots. The audience is welcome to sing along.

The concert also includes Christmas songs such as 'Ser du stjernen', 'Julemandens hjælpere' and 'Hjerter til jul', plus interpretations of songs by the Beatles, Sebastian, Carole King and 'What a Wonderful World'. Jan performs 75-85 times a year in Denmark and Hungary and regularly appears at Metronomen.

The ticket includes beer, wine and juice. The programme lasts approximately two hours with an interval.

About the venue: Metronomen

Metronomen is Frederiksberg's self-run music venue, where artists and organisers book the space and handle their own concerts from start to finish. The building has stood beside Aksel Møllers Have since 1996, originally built as an exhibition hall during the European Capital of Culture year. It has two ground-floor rooms - a larger hall seating around 85 and a smaller domed room for about 30.
