Books, Hope and Sustainability

Roskilde Libraries' book bike is present at GRASP Festival, where librarians Mads Led Behrend Roth and Susan Jessen Spiele invite conversations about literature's role in addressing the climate and biodiversity crisis.

The bike is loaded with current titles - both non-fiction and speculative fiction. Along the way, shorter shared readings from the speculative genre are held; no preparation required.

GRASP Festival's 2026 theme is Future Hope and runs over three days with 70+ talks, art experiences, workshops and experimental formats for more than 2,000 participants. A festival ticket costs 100 kr. and gives access to the entire programme.

The book bike is on site Thursday, October 1st 10-16 and Friday, October 2nd 10-16.
