The Little Nature Detectives on Ellemandsbjerget
took place · 20 Sep 2026
Description was written before the event
We meet at the foot of Ellemandsbjerget, where all children - and young-at-heart adults - receive a nature bingo card and a basket to collect treasures in.
From there we walk at a leisurely pace into the forest. Along the way we look for animal tracks, traces, and pine cones gnawed by squirrels, and the children use all their senses to find everything from soft moss and autumn leaves to wild blackberries and empty snail shells. Finally, we climb the "mountain" itself: the summit is 99 metres above sea level and offers views across the entire Aarhus Bay and the islands. Here we enjoy apple juice and cake.
Bring practical clothes and sturdy footwear that can get dirty - and preferably a sitting mat or blanket.
