Courage, Fear & Will - Epic and Adventurous Stories

Jacob Klaris-Jensen - Courage, Fear & Will: Thursday 12 November 2026, 17:00–18:30, Gilleleje Bibliotek, Gilleleje. Tickets cost 40 kr.

Jacob Klaris-Jensen takes the audience on his expeditions to the world's most remote mountain ranges - from avalanche accidents in the snow to encounters with death in the high mountains of Peru, far from civilization and without access to help.

He shares what happens to body and mind under extreme pressure at altitudes above 8,000 meters, and about the hardships that come with months in total isolation - without wifi, friends, or family. The lecture is characterized by humor and energy.

Jacob Klaris-Jensen is a mountaineer, adventurer, and lecturer. He is a trained teacher and runs his own company specializing in team development (www.klaris-jensen.dk). He began climbing in the mid-1990s and is today an experienced climber and mountaineer.
