Mushroom Foraging 2026

CatalansDK organizes a guided mushroom-foraging walk in Hareskov forest on Saturday, October 3rd, led by Alexandre. Hareskov is an old and diverse forest, easily accessible by S-train.

Meeting point is Hareskov station at 10:00, where there will be a shared breakfast and an introduction to the mushroom species you can expect to find. Note that trains run every 20 minutes, so plan your journey to arrive in good time. The walk starts at 10:45 and everyone gathers again at 12:30, when Alexandre will review the harvest and help distinguish edible mushrooms from poisonous ones. Afterwards, there is an opportunity for outdoor lunch.

Bring clothing suitable for forest and weather. Bring a basket - even a bicycle basket works - so you spread spores as you go. Avoid closed bags, as they can accelerate mushroom fermentation. CatalansDK provides breakfast for everyone, but lunch and drinks are brought by participants.
