We Eat Together: Make Your Own Beeswax Wraps
Nygadehuset, Aabenraa · 100 kr. · ≈ 13 €
Beeswax wraps are reusable cotton cloths coated with beeswax, jojoba oil and resin. They can be used to wrap fruit, vegetables, nuts, cheese, bread, sandwiches and leftovers, keeping food fresh for up to a year - a natural alternative to plastic wrap and foil.
At the workshop you make 1-2 beeswax wraps in groups of 4-5 people, and afterwards we eat a meal together. Beer and soft drinks can be purchased, and we help each other with the cleanup. The price covers materials for 2 beeswax wraps.
Bring your own cotton cloths in measured sizes (fabric scraps, old tablecloths or bedding - freshly washed, but not too worn). You can also buy pre-cut pieces: 20x20, 25x25 or 35x35 cm. Remember to bring an apron and rubber gloves.
The event is for adults only, as we work with hot beeswax. There is room for a maximum of 25 participants, and a minimum of 8 registrations is required for the event to take place. Registration opens August 4 at 10:00 and closes Sunday, September 13 at 23:59.
