The library sells books for children and adults, magazines, CDs, and comics. Prices are announced on the day, and proceeds go towards purchasing new books and materials.

From Saturday at 1 p.m. onwards and throughout the rest of the weekend, the sale operates as self-service with payment via MobilePay.

About the venue: Biblioteket på KulturØen

Biblioteket på KulturØen is the main library of Middelfart Kultur & Bibliotek, housed in the KulturØen building since it opened in 2005. The building was designed by architect John Lassen of Schmidt Hammer Lassen and sits on an artificial island by the Lillebælt strait. The library spans two floors - children and young people on the ground floor, adults above - and was thoroughly redesigned in 2016 by Rosan Bosch Studio. The same building also contains Panorama Biografen, a restaurant and tourist information.
