Learn About Fire - Fire Prevention Week for Grades 0-1 at Frederiksberg Fire Station

Hovedstadens Beredskab invites students in grades 0-1 to a morning about fire safety at Frederiksberg Fire Station, Howitzvej 26. The event takes place Monday 28th, Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th September 2026, all days 10:00-12:00.

The programme includes child-friendly activities: children meet firefighters and see fire trucks up close, colour in the story of Ildefanten (the Fire Elephant) at the craft station, meet the mascot Ildefanten, try a practice emergency call to 1-1-2, and receive an introduction to smoke alarms and basic first aid.

Before the visit, the class is encouraged to go through the teaching material "Learn About Fire" so students arrive with shared basic knowledge. Packed lunches may be eaten at the station.

The event is free but requires registration - there are limited places. Choose your preferred date when registering, and remember to cancel if you are unable to attend. Questions can be sent to arrangement@hbr.dk.
