Prepper Dinner - Emergency Preparedness Day

Prepper Dinner and Emergency Preparedness: Friday 6 November 2026, 18:15–20:00, Biblioteket i Herning, Herning. Tickets cost 50 kr.

As part of the campaign "Together on Preparedness", Herning Libraries hosts an emergency preparedness day on Friday, November 6. The day concludes with a prepper dinner at long tables on the ground floor of the main library.

The menu is a two-course meal with freeze-dried prepper food that you prepare yourself on site. Remember to bring a drinking bottle and spoon - they are part of the concept. During dinner, the municipality's emergency coordinator and an emergency chaplain give short talks about how Herning Municipality and the Danish Church work with preparedness in crisis situations.

Throughout the evening there is also a raffle for an emergency preparedness package with FM emergency radio, water container, power bank and more.

Tickets cost 50 kr. for adults; children under 12 are free. Tickets must be booked in advance.

The event is part of the thematic collaboration "Together on Preparedness" - a collaboration between DR, Østifterne, Danske Folkeoplysnings Samråd and the Libraries - which focuses on preparedness as a practical, social, mental and cultural phenomenon.
