Upcycled Woodworking for Adults

Upcycled Woodworking for Adults - open workshop: 6 October – 17 December 2026, Karens Minde & Sydhavn Genbrugscenter, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

Open woodworking workshop for adults at Sydhavn Genbrugscenter. Every Tuesday and Thursday from 17:00 to 20:00, the wood workshop is open for you to build your own projects from reclaimed wood - plant boxes, stools, birdhouses, benches, or something entirely different.

We provide tools and reclaimed wood; you bring the ideas. A woodworking instructor is present to help with your building project and teach you how to use the tools. The workshop primarily uses hand tools, but also has power drills, orbital sanders, routers, jigsaws, hand saws, and clamps.

Places are limited for safety reasons, so please let us know if you cannot attend so someone else can use your spot. You cannot bring your own wood - instead, there is plenty of free reclaimed wood available. You can also work on furniture from the exchange area at Sydhavn Recycling Station, for example repairing or transforming a chair you find there.

The workshop is reserved for private projects and cannot be used for commercial production.
